Good article. I think doing either is fine, it’s up to you. As some of the comments state, if you accidentally over do compression you might kick yourself later. If you have the time to get eq and comp sorted out perfectly in recording phase go for it, but if not then you can do it later. One advantage of doing it later is that you can probably spend more time getting it perfect, but we’re probably talking about mild eq and comp, which is probably pretty quick to set up and shouldn’t run you into any problems with overdoing it. And also listen to Graham he’s smarter than me.
